About Us

Mission Statement

The Emily Dickinson community will join together to provide our children with the academic and behavioral skills needed to reason and communicate responsibly in society. These skills will be taught in a safe and caring environment where individual differences are accepted.

Title I

Emily Dickinson is a Title I Targeted Assistance School which means we provide some federal funds directly targeting our students who need additional support to achieve success in school. Our current Title I Targeted Assistance Plan and Parent Involvement Plan are provided so parents may develop greater understanding of our instructional model and become involved as members of the Emily Dickinson community in providing support for our students' social, emotional and academic growth. Please contact our office if you have questions or are interested in becoming involved as a volunteer.

Mail Day and Newsletter

Thursday is Mail Day at Emily Dickinson. Students will bring home class work and school notices. The school newsletter will be sent home twice monthly and is available on the Emily Dickinson website at http://www.bsd7.org/emilyd/newsletters.php. Please check in your child's backpack for these items containing important information.
